TOEFL iBT: Question Type 3
The TOEFL® iBT speaking section contains six distinct types of questions. Listen to the directions first and then play the question MP3. In this type of question, you will be asked to read a passage (open the PDF file under "Reading Passage" when the narrator says “Begin reading now”). After time is up for reading the passage, close the reading file and listen to the question which will continue to play as you read. If you are working with a tutor now, your tutor will tell you when to begin and when your time is up. You can listen online or download the MP3 to your computer. A sample answer is provided for learning purposes. You may also view or download the transcripts. Acrobat Reader is required for PDF viewing.
